Experience
I received my law degree from Georgetown Law Center in 1989 and have been practicing law in the State of Georgia for over 20 years. I serve as a trial lawyer in state and federal courts, the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia, including jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and settlements. I have served as an arbitrator for the Fulton County State Court, and provided pro bono legal advice and assistance in my community and through various organizations including the State Bar of Georgia and The September 11 Victim’s Compensation Fund. I serve on the Host Team and in The Care Ministry at Northpoint Community Church. I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Forsyth County and a substitute teacher in Fulton County. I coach little league sports and I am a father to my incredible son, Carson.
In my early years of law practice I served as a trial lawyer mostly for corporations in the insurance and transportation industries, including tractor-trailer companies. During the past 22 years, I have handled hundreds of cases, representing primarily individuals in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, often caused by tractor-trailer companies and drivers, medical negligence, defective products and other serious accidents. I also handle a wide range of business matters and litigation, will contests and other estate disputes, and I provide legal consulting for individuals, businesses, attorneys, and companies throughout the United States.
Case Load
Serving the Lord and spending time with and raising my son are my greatest joys and highest priorities. I also enjoy my legal profession, providing quality, effective and personalized service, my pro bono and charitable work, and community service. In order to serve all very well, I select only a few cases and legal matters to handle at any one time and work with an incredible experienced staff, experts, and consultants and I also form alliances with other attorneys and law firms specializing in particular damages or legal issues.
Great Resources
Whenever specialization, out-of-state assistance or additional legal support would enhance your case or legal matter, I will work with some of the very best and experienced attorneys, paralegals, and law firms in the country. I regularly consult with and retain top-notch accident reconstructionists, medical doctors, nurses, engineers, accountants and a host of other experts and consultants.
Wide Range of Cases & Legal Matters
Very often, I am retained by other attorneys to assist with their cases. I have served as lead counsel or co-counsel on cases and legal matters from California to Washington, D. C. Many of these out-of-state cases involve tractor-trailer wrecks, medical malpractice, products liability and other serious matters resulting in death, permanent injuries, emotional, and financial hardships and loss.
While many cases I handle involve negligence, intentional acts and product liability, I also handle cases involving negligent security, sexual assaults, injuries at amusement parks, shopping centers, nursing homes and workplaces, defective devises or equipment, medical malpractice, libel and slander, sexual harassment, age and race discrimination, fraud, disputes over wills and estates and more.
